Home Modifications - OT
At Neuro Junction our team of Occupational Therapists can identify and review strategies that enable our clients to modify aspects of their home such as their bathroom. These home modifications can facilitate functional performance and increase safety.
The home modifications can also assist to increase our clients ability to participate in instrumental activities of daily living, such as self-care tasks, in order to increase independence. For example, secure upper body supports such as handrails/grab bars can be fitted in toilets and bathrooms to assist with balance, support and stability whilst mobilising and completing hygiene tasks.
Depending on your needs, home modifications can include:
grab rails and handrails
ramps for access
widening of doorways
stair lifts
