World Occupational Therapy Day
Today we acknowledge Occupational Therapists worldwide for their contribution to the health care system. The aim is to spread awareness on the services Occupational Therapists provide such as: managing chronic disease, supporting independence, improving function and quality of life.
Occupational Therapists at Neuro Junction assess the needs of clients and their goals, perform upper limb and cognitive training, retrain specific tasks of daily living, make recommendations on equipment and home modifications.
Some examples of how the Occupational Therapists at Neuro Junction can help include:
Getting dressed with the use of aids
Adaptive utensil (thicker grip) with plate guards
Sensory (Vision/Hearing) aids
Grooming and self-care
Bathing and using the toilet
Eating and cooking
